Role Overview

The Assistant Director will spearhead the management and growth of NTU’s Part-Time Work-Study undergraduate programmes. This leadership role blends strategic development, stakeholder collaboration, operational management, and team leadership to guarantee exceptional programme quality, student engagement, and alignment with university and national workforce goals.

Key Duties

• Manage all aspects of Part-Time Work-Study undergraduate programmes, including marketing, admissions, administration, student services, and graduation processes.
• Facilitate the introduction and ongoing support of new and future programme offerings.
• Collaborate with various colleges, schools, faculty members, and administrative units to ensure smooth programme execution and compliance.
• Lead or coordinate new programme proposal development with internal and external parties such as government agencies and industry partners.
• Support outreach and promotional activities including recruitment and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Handle reporting duties, data integration, quality assurance, accreditation processes, and governance of the programme portfolio.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders to maintain programme relevance and foster partnerships.
• Manage and guide a small team, providing leadership, support, and performance management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is mandatory.
• Experience in managing educational programmes, higher education administration, continuing education, or partnership development.
• Proven track record in overseeing complex programmes or projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills suitable for academic, administrative, and external audiences.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Competence in operational leadership with an emphasis on quality, compliance, and continuous enhancement.
• Experience in supervising or leading small teams.
• Postgraduate qualifications in education, business, management, public administration, or related fields are advantageous.
• Background in higher education, lifelong learning, work-study or industry-linked educational settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, accreditation, academic governance, or educational reporting processes.
• Familiarity with new programme development, policy enactment, or multi-sector partnership coordination.
• Comfort with utilizing data analytics, digital systems, and reporting tools for informed decision-making.
