Assistant Designer

About the Role

Gloria Jeans Group, a prominent fast-fashion retailer rapidly expanding in the Middle East, is seeking an Assistant Designer to assist the design team in crafting trend-aligned seasonal collections that reflect the brand's vision and cater to customer preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in the entire lifecycle of seasonal collections, from initial concepts to finalized products.
• Conduct research on current fashion trends, color palettes, fabrics, and clothing silhouettes to guide design directions.
• Create mood boards, fashion sketches, technical drawings, and presentation materials to support design processes.
• Maintain and update design files utilizing Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software.
• Work collaboratively with Product Development, Buying, and Merchandising teams to ensure designs align with commercial goals and brand standards.
• Help prepare technical packs, product specifications, and samples for evaluation.
• Contribute to sample assessments, fittings, and iterative design modifications during product development.
• Deliver design outputs accurately and within specified deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• At least 1 year of experience as an assistant designer; recent graduates are also welcome to apply.
• A degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary fashion trends, color theory, and fabric characteristics.
• A creative mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities and fluency in English; proficiency in Russian is advantageous.
