Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Overview

A leading company based in Dublin is seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. This role centers around AI development and will position you as the key expert in AI technologies within the organization. The employer is a well-established market leader in their sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define AI architecture and establish standards.
• Lead the AI strategy and roadmap development.
• Research and evaluate AI tools tailored to solving specific business challenges.
• Oversee proof-of-concept trials for emerging AI technologies and maintain vendor and consultant relationships.
• Design and implement AI-driven automation and data solutions across multiple company departments.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and engagement.
• Integrate AI functionalities into ERP systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• Set ethical, secure, and GDPR-compliant frameworks for AI deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while managing and mentoring the AI team.
• Support recruitment efforts for the AI department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in software development or architectural roles, including 3 to 4 years in senior or managerial positions.
• Extensive experience designing and building cloud-native enterprise solutions.
• Proficiency in programming, particularly in Python.
• Desirable experience in Digital Transformation projects.
• Familiarity with generative AI and intelligent systems, including large language models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic systems.
• Practical experience working with generative AI platforms is advantageous.
