Area Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking an Area Coordinator based in Cumbria, North West England, responsible for delivering comprehensive milk recording services to dairy farms. This permanent role is Monday to Friday with some flexibility for early starts and occasional late finishes. The position offers a salary of £25,371.91 plus a van and fuel card or allowance.

Key Duties

• Operate from a home base while traveling extensively across a wide farm area.
• Collect and input event data on individual cows using specialized software.
• Coordinate and collect milk samples directly from cows during milking, including managing the robot shuttle hire service.
• Recruit, organise, and train self-employed milk samplers.
• Handle transportation of milk sample boxes and shuttles.
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent time management and motivation to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail for precise data collection and entry.
• Competent computer skills.
• Milk recording experience or practical knowledge of dairy farming is beneficial.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be available for early morning work as required.
