Job Overview

The role of Applied AI Engineer focuses on implementing AI modernization at enterprise levels by embedding and integrating Devin within engineering teams to improve workflows and productivity. This is not a demonstration role; it's centered on deployment and driving lasting adoption of AI tools inside real-world engineering environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with enterprise engineering groups to ensure the successful and continual use of Devin, emphasizing ownership of tangible outcomes over simple onboarding.
• Design and develop agentic workflows touching engineering, quality assurance, product, and support functions, pinpointing where AI generates maximum value.
• Lead interactive initiatives, including live workshops and pair-programming sessions, to facilitate AI adoption.
• Assist customers in installing, configuring, and fine-tuning Devin and associated components such as DeepWiki and MCP integrations.
• Engage directly with teams by pair-programming on live production challenges to demonstrate impactful AI applications and speed up fluency in applied AI.
• Measure and communicate the impact of AI adoption by tracking productivity metrics, ROI narratives, and justifying expansion within customer accounts.
• Collaborate with company leadership to convert field insights into scalable playbooks, enablement materials, and best practice guidelines.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent practical expertise.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software engineering, technical consulting, deployment strategy, solutions engineering, or similar roles with proficient coding skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or related languages.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated success in promoting technical adoption and achieving measurable benefits within engineering organizations.
• Strong business acumen with a focus on growing customer accounts through successful engagements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Rapid adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience leading developer enablement or internal AI modernization projects, supported by quantifiable results.
• Hands-on involvement deploying or integrating large language models or agent-based AI systems in live environments.
• Background in early-stage startups requiring autonomy and rapid execution.
• Motivation to enhance team productivity significantly and engineering results methodically.
