We are seeking an APAC Payroll Specialist to support and scale payroll operations across multiple APAC countries. Partnering closely with the Global Payroll Manager, you will oversee outsourced payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison with external payroll vendors, managing monthly payroll schedules and deadlines.
- Guarantee accurate and punctual payroll across all APAC jurisdictions.
- Provide backup support for the Global Payroll Manager when absent.
- Conduct payroll audits, validations, and reconciliations to identify inconsistencies.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Support audit processes and maintain comprehensive, updated documentation.
- Develop and standardize payroll workflows, fostering automation and efficiency improvements.
- Handle payroll-related data inputs from the HRIS (HiBob) ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on reporting, issue resolution, and payroll inquiries.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is methodical and process-oriented, takes ownership, demonstrates accountability, and applies a problem-solving approach within a fast-paced international context. Strong communication across different cultures and time zones is essential.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing payroll across multiple countries, particularly in outsourced settings.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and associated controls.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HRIS and various payroll systems.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Exposure to payroll service providers like BDO, Deel, or Remote.
- Experience establishing payroll procedures from the ground up.
- Knowledge of audit procedures and compliance standards.
