Accountant

Overview

We are looking for an Accountant to manage detailed financial accounting across multiple projects and retail locations for Hindustan Engineering Works in Delhi-NCR. This role involves comprehensive expense monitoring, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and allocate expenses on a project-by-project basis across various technical sites.
• Verify and reconcile site expenses with records maintained at the head office.
• Prepare reports analyzing project profitability and cost variances.
• Manage daily reconciliation of retail sales and ensure retail billing aligns with accounting records.
• Oversee retail inventory accounting, including stock valuation and physical stock audits.
• Maintain complete books of accounts using Tally Prime or ERP systems.
• Manage vendor payables, customer billing, and follow up on receivables.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly management information system (MIS) reports, profit and loss statements, and financial dashboards.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and HR departments.
• Implement automation in accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across all locations and projects.

Eligibility and Requirements

The candidate should be capable of managing end-to-end accounting processes and possess knowledge of statutory compliance practices such as PF, ESI, GST, and TDS. Experience working with accounting software like Tally Prime or ERP is essential.
