Join PlayStat.ai as a Sports Operations intern managing weekend badminton tournaments across Bengaluru. PlayStat.ai has developed India's pioneering official rating system for amateur badminton, akin to chess ELO ratings, currently rating over 400 local players and managing more than 600 rated matches weekly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the PlayStat scoring desk at badminton tournaments held on weekends throughout Bengaluru.
- Input match outcomes into the PlayStat app in real-time and provide live scoring for featured courts.
- Assist players in accessing their rating profiles and clarify the rating mechanisms.
- Collaborate with tournament organizers and referees to manage draw updates, walkovers, and retirements.
- Relay event data accuracy and player feedback to the product development team.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be available on Saturdays and Sundays in Bengaluru.
- Strong understanding of badminton scoring systems including rally point, 21-point, and deuce rules.
- Possession of a personal smartphone with mobile internet connectivity.
- Comfortable engaging with players and event organizers.
- Experience in playing badminton, umpiring, or involvement with badminton academies is advantageous.
- Availability for a 6-month part-time commitment, starting between August 2 and September 6, 2026.

Stipend and Benefits
- The weekly stipend ranges from ₹850 to ₹1,000, combining a fixed salary of ₹700 to ₹800 and incentives between ₹150 and ₹200.
