Overview
A leading global consulting and engineering company is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to support the ADNOC Gas EPCm project located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves overseeing warehouse operations, managing materials handling, and supporting the supply chain team to enable efficient construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Wood Warehouse and associated materials facilities, including onsite locations such as Habshan P5 and shutdown projects as needed.
- Coordinate allocation of materials to construction work-packs and provide timely updates on material, equipment, and service availability throughout the procurement to construction cycle.
- Manage quarantine processes, receipt inspections, and oversee overages, shortages, and damaged goods (OS&D).
- Communicate effectively with Procurement, project fabrication contractors, and HSSE teams to expedite deliveries, arrange returns, handle complaints/rejections, and ensure safe handling and material movement.
- Prepare and provide comprehensive material status reports aligned with project reporting timelines.
- Maintain organized and indexed documentation for purchase orders and related material records.
- Adhere strictly to ethical standards in dealings with company vendors and support timely closeout of purchase orders.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders within project and materials management.
- Ensure all warehouse and material handling processes comply with company, client, and safety regulations.
Candidate Profile
- More than 10 years of experience in senior or supervisory roles within large scale Oil & Gas brownfield or greenfield projects.
- Proven track record of managing materials coordination on onshore and offshore construction projects.
- Experience with computerized materials control systems and proficiency in Materials Management Systems (MMS).
- Excellent communication skills in English and strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Capability to interact and coordinate effectively with suppliers, engineering teams, QA/QC, document control, procurement, and clients.
- Motivated, proactive, with a commitment to quality improvement and ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Commercial awareness related to procurement and materials supervision along with knowledge of applicable local and international standards.
