About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned VMware Infrastructure Specialist to contribute to high-impact enterprise initiatives across the APAC region. This role involves working on extensive VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX-T, and enterprise virtualization platforms that support clients in banking, telecommunications, and cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consulting and enterprise infrastructure services focused on VMware technologies.
- Design, implement, configure, and fine-tune VMware Cloud Foundation environments for optimized performance.
- Deploy and administrate VMware NSX-T network virtualization and security frameworks.
- Lead migrations from NSX-V to NSX-T within live enterprise settings.
- Implement and resolve issues related to VMware vSAN storage solutions.
- Support various components of VMware vRealize Suite including vROps, Log Insight, Network Insight, Automation, Lifecycle Manager, and Workspace ONE Access.
- Manage VMware upgrades for vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vCloud Director platforms.
- Support telecommunications NFV setups and multi-site data center infrastructures.
- Integrate VMware solutions with tools such as Palo Alto, F5, AlgoSec, and Splunk.
- Develop detailed technical documentation, runbooks, facilitate UAT, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years' practical experience in VMware infrastructure deployment and management.
- Strong proficiency with VMware Cloud Foundation versions 4.x and 5.x.
- Hands-on expertise with VMware NSX-T versions 3.x and 4.x along with NSX-V.
- Advanced knowledge of vSphere releases from 6.x to 8.x.
- Experience with VMware vSAN and full VMware vRealize Suite.
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level NSX migration projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities across virtualization, networking, storage, and compute components.
- Experience within banking or telecommunications sectors considered a significant plus.
- Proven capability to work autonomously in client-facing roles.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
- VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV for NSX-V/NSX-T)
- VCAP or VCIX level certifications
- Specialist certifications in vSAN and vRealize Operations (vROps)
Additional Information
Location: Primarily based in Singapore but includes client sites and remote working options within APAC.
Employment Type: Full-time or project-based engagements.
Eligibility: Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents exclusively.
Industry Exposure: Work with large banking and telecommunications infrastructures and gain valuable regional project experience in APAC.
