Role Overview

JNM Enterprises is seeking a dynamic and inventive Video Content Editor skilled in creating catchy, fast-paced short-form videos tailored for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X. Your main responsibility is extracting viral-worthy clips from various media formats including sports events, entertainment segments, podcasts, interviews, livestreams, press conferences, and internet discourse, then transforming these into captivating edits that captivate and retain audiences.

Core Responsibilities

• Clip and edit content by identifying engaging moments from long-form videos, podcasts, livestreams, and trending conversations.
• Produce platform-specific edits optimized for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, including adding readable subtitles, dynamic zooms, cuts, memes, transitions, sound effects, and motion graphics as necessary.
• Create multiple variants/hooks from the same source material to maintain freshness and viewer interest.
• Keep pacing brisk and maximize viewer retention through strategic editing.
• Carry out trend research across domains such as NBA, NFL, football/soccer, combat sports, pop culture, celebrity news, internet drama, and viral social media discussions.
• Proactively suggest content ideas aligned with current trends.
• Compose compelling hooks or titles to capture audience attention within the first three seconds.
• Repurpose content effectively across multiple formats and platforms.

Requirements and Preferences

• Proven experience in editing short-form digital content with a thorough understanding of TikTok/Reels/Shorts style editing.
• Strong familiarity with sports and internet cultures, especially as they relate to a US audience.
• Ability to identify moments with viral potential and to work independently with rapid turnaround times.
• Good command of the English language.
• Preferred: Experience editing sports-related videos, knowledge of US audience psychology, and expertise in meme culture editing.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut.
• Basic skills in Adobe After Effects.
• Optional experience with DaVinci Resolve and Canva.
• Comfortable using any additional video editing software and AI voiceover tools.

Expectations and Deliverables

• Generate between 3 to 10 short clips daily, adjusted for workload.
• Produce multiple hook variations for each source clip.
• Export videos optimized per platform specifications.
• Maintain well-organized file management.
