About the Role

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Vice President of Operations at our facility located in Aiken, South Carolina. In this pivotal leadership position, you will oversee all operational aspects including production, maintenance, and facility management. Additionally, you will coordinate with Quality, Logistics, Reman/Overhaul, and other departments to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Your leadership will drive operational effectiveness, promote cross-functional collaboration, and support growth and excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of Operations for Rolls-Royce Solutions at the Aiken location, taking charge of production, maintenance, facility oversight, and meeting site performance commitments safely and efficiently.
  • Act as the Site Leader for the Aiken facility, representing the company externally and fostering local functional alignment through visible leadership, employee engagement, and communication events.
  • Develop and implement an Operations strategy aligned with business goals, budgets, and scheduled timelines to position the site for sustainable growth.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Logistics, Reman/Overhaul, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to meet targets related to cost, efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Advance operational excellence by improving process effectiveness, performance metrics, and deploying Lean methodologies throughout Operations.
  • Work alongside headquarters in Germany and global functional leaders to standardize tools, manufacturing procedures, maintenance scheduling, quality standards, supplier audits, and environmental compliance.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports, managing budgets, resources, risks, opportunities, and development within established governance frameworks.
  • Serve as the accountable leader for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance at the site, promoting product integrity, quality discipline, and a culture adhering to the Rolls-Royce Code of Integrity.

Candidate Profile

  • Preferred qualifications include exposure to company-wide challenges, diverse cultures, especially familiarity with German business styles, and broad multidisciplinary experience.
  • Proven success in driving operational performance improvements under varied conditions using cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma, ideally holding a Green Belt certification.
