About the Role

The Trust and Safety team is dedicated to combating abuse and safeguarding the integrity of Google’s products such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As a Trust and Safety Analyst Manager, you will lead a global team focused on enforcing advertising policies to maintain user safety while promoting positive customer experiences. You will oversee multi-quarter initiatives, leveraging AI and other scalable solutions to mitigate fraud and policy violations. This role involves collaboration across engineering, product, legal, and sales divisions and may require occasional on-call shifts during weekends and holidays. The position entails exposure to potentially sensitive or distressing content related to policy reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts to detect and remove policy-violating content, providing actionable insights and ensuring enforcement accuracy.
  • Advise senior Google leadership on enforcement strategies to tackle large-scale content and fraudulent behaviors effectively.
  • Design and implement AI-driven solutions to detect and prevent fraud and unsafe content at scale, identifying gaps to improve product safety features.
  • Support team growth through mentorship and guidance, partnering with policy teams to roll out policy updates that enhance user protection and meet regulatory standards.
  • Handle urgent issues escalated by advertisers, users, regulators, and public relations teams promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience focused on talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Preferred experience includes handling complex litigation and tech policy matters related to law, AI governance, and government regulations.
  • Proven track record managing medium-sized teams comprising analysts and Trust and Safety experts.
  • Experience deploying technology solutions, particularly AI, for large-scale policy enforcement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of brand safety concepts for internet advertising platforms.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional senior stakeholders, including directors and above.
