About the Role
The Insurance Team Leader will oversee and guide a group of insurance agents, advisors, or service reps to meet and exceed performance benchmarks. This position requires monitoring team outputs, coaching for improved performance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and promoting customer satisfaction alongside business expansion.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily operations of the insurance team ensuring high productivity and quality delivery.
- Establish clear goals and performance standards for team members.
- Conduct regular individual meetings, evaluate performance, and provide coaching to drive results.
- Encourage team motivation to fulfill KPIs including sales targets, claims processing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee workflow to guarantee timely processing of policies, claims, and client requests.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of strategic business plans to stimulate growth.
- Analyze performance data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.
- Identify needs for training and coordinate workshops or programs accordingly.
- Facilitate onboarding and mentoring of new team members to align with corporate protocols and values.
- Promote ongoing professional development within the team.
- Ensure compliance with insurance laws, corporate policies, and regulatory guidelines through audits and quality assurance measures.
- Address and resolve client complaints and complex issues escalated from the team.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, agents, brokers, and internal teams.
- Represent the team in departmental meetings and relay pertinent updates effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Insurance, or a cognate discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance sector.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of insurance products and regulatory frameworks.
- Previous exposure to Life, Health, or General insurance lines is advantageous.
