Our Dublin site employs more than 170 staff within the Worldwide Logistic and Supply Chain Centre, and we are seeking a Supply & Demand Planner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate sales forecasts for current products by gathering, validating, and analyzing required data to enhance forecasting precision and service levels.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast new product demand and integrate these projections into the overall forecast.
- Serve as the forecasting liaison between local and central departments.
- Manage forecast adjustments related to product introductions and discontinuations, including the impact of new products on existing ones.
- Participate in forecast validation processes, ensuring alignment with budgets, three-year plans, and revisions.
- Establish and track performance indicators related to demand planning and actual sales, focusing on forecast accuracy.
- Enhance forecasting procedures by suggesting new models and collaborating with IT as a key user for related application development and implementation.
- Maintain a unified forecasting process across markets while accommodating product-specific requirements.
- Set inventory level targets per item to meet service level objectives.
- Calculate monthly supply requirements to achieve inventory and service targets.
- Monitor and report on service levels, supply planning, and production key performance indicators.
- Evaluate stock valuation and obsolescence, coordinating actions with Finance & Accounting, Sales, and Marketing to meet financial goals.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Demand, Supply, and Distribution teams to maintain inventory levels, prioritize short-term actions, and manage medium to long-term risks.
- Lead the local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to assess supply and inventory impacts comprehensively.
- Ensure timely supply of new product launches.
- Manage product phase-out activities with Commercial, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, and Central Planning departments to support assortment updates and prevent overstock and obsolescence.
Candidate Profile
- University degree focused on Supply Chain management or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a Supply Chain role or equivalent.
- Strong abilities in quantitative data analysis.
- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good problem-solving skills with capability to develop custom tools.
- Familiarity with planning methodologies and forecasting models.
- Experience with SAP and/or BW systems.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese or strong knowledge of APAC markets is advantageous.
- Capability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaborator able to work effectively with diverse teams.
