About the Role
BOC Limited, a Linde company, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner based in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland. This position involves overseeing supply management from several global suppliers to various manufacturing sites worldwide, ensuring inventory targets are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate supply chain activities involving multiple global suppliers and manufacturing locations to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Manage international freight transportation including ocean, air, courier, and expedited shipments while optimizing an annual freight budget around $4 million.
- Ensure strict compliance with global freight regulations, customs requirements, and all export/import documentation.
- Oversee the performance and relationships with suppliers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Drive strategic initiatives aimed at reducing supply chain costs, improving process efficiency, enhancing supplier dependability, and increasing planning accuracy.
- Initiate and manage orders and develop dependable supply routes especially for new territory expansions.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience in supply planning, global logistics, or international supply chain operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of global freight compliance, customs laws, and international trade documentation protocols.
- Experience handling substantial freight expenditures, exemplified by managing approximately $4 million per year in freight costs.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, proficient use of Excel or spreadsheets, and experience with ERP or planning systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong communication skills for clear presentation of insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Demonstrated personal integrity and adherence to business ethics.
