Role Overview
As a pivotal member of the Supply Chain team, the Distribution Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the launch, distribution, and inventory movement of new product lines across all retail outlets in the Americas. This includes managing distribution for Men’s and Women’s Shoes and Ready-to-Wear categories across all life cycle codes. The role demands strategic vision, meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical aptitude, and organizational skills to ensure timely, accurate product flow that maximizes sales and supports brand representation and retail goals. The position collaborates closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail teams, and manages local warehouse relationships and capacity planning to sustain service quality. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and managing one Supply Chain Trainee.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute distribution strategies for new product launches aligning with merchandising and retail plans using a comprehensive 360-degree approach.
- Implement intricate allocation methods within systems for seasonal collections and high-demand products ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage launch timelines effectively to guarantee smooth product arrival in stores and for clients.
- Proactively communicate about delays, risks, and issues, coordinating corrective actions with internal teams.
- Track preorder trends and performance by category and store to anticipate demand and refine launch strategies, spotting risks and opportunities.
- Monitor sales metrics, stock levels, and replenishment requirements post-launch to enhance sell-through rates.
- Oversee inventory management for Men’s, Women's Shoes, and Ready-to-Wear categories at store level to meet availability targets and reduce overstock.
- Adjust distribution parameters regularly to maintain product flow from central to regional warehouses and from warehouses to retail locations, in partnership with central teams.
- Identify and apply stock rebalancing strategies to boost inventory performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize distribution procedures, improve data integrity, and enhance operational accuracy.
- Standardize tools, reporting mechanisms, and workflows to improve transparency, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
- Build strong partnerships with retail, merchandising, operations, and logistics teams.
- Manage warehouse relationships by defining clear priorities and workload balance.
- Lead end-of-season inventory initiatives to maximize remaining stock value and align with business priorities.
- Plan and coordinate employee sales according to inventory and business schedules ensuring effective product assortment.
- Work with central teams on pricing policies and approvals.
- Coordinate with Retail Operations and Logistics to ensure readiness and smooth execution of business activities.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities for a supply chain trainee.
Key Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or logistics roles.
- Expertise in supply chain principles with knowledge of demand forecasting and logistics operations.
- Background in luxury or fashion industries is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to handle complex data accurately.
- Familiarity with tools like Anaplan, CEGID, or SAP is considered a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to simplify complex information and present it clearly.
- Client-focused mindset with strong listening skills and empathy.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to ambiguity, new ideas, and changing procedures.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000, dependent on experience and skills. Additional compensation includes a bonus opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, vision coverage, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contributions.
