Position Overview
We seek an experienced Supply Chain Director to lead strategic supply chain operations for a major global customer within a top-tier electronics manufacturing services company. This role involves managing end-to-end supply chain processes across multiple international manufacturing sites, driving results through cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with customer commitments and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all customer-facing supply chain activities, including BOM strategy, material sourcing, pricing policies, inventory management, demand planning, and delivery performance.
- Partner closely with customers, global manufacturing locations, suppliers, commodity managers, engineering, and operations teams to enhance overall supply chain execution.
- Oversee BOM cost analysis, cost modeling, P&L implications, cash flow, sourcing strategies, and total cost of ownership assessments.
- Drive supplier negotiations and commodity strategies, managing high-value sourcing efforts and mitigating supply risks such as shortages or excess inventory.
- Support new product introduction processes and resolve supply chain constraints to ensure consistent delivery performance.
- Facilitate business reviews and lead discussions with executive leadership and customer representatives to align supply chain strategy with company goals.
- Manage complex, matrixed teams across global regions without direct authority, influencing stakeholders to achieve performance targets.
- Commit to 20-25% domestic and international travel, primarily to North American and Asian customer and manufacturing sites.
Required Qualifications
- Eight to ten or more years of supply chain management experience in complex manufacturing environments such as electronics manufacturing services (EMS), capital equipment, semiconductor, electronics, or electro-mechanical industries.
- Proven leadership as the primary customer-facing supply chain contact with comprehensive expertise in BOM management, material pricing, inventory control, demand forecasting, and supply delivery.
- Exceptional understanding of BOM analysis, cost modeling, financial impacts including P&L and cash flow, sourcing strategies, and comprehensive total cost of ownership concepts.
- Strong ability to lead and influence through matrixed global organizations and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and mechanical engineering principles.
- Excellent communication skills tailored for executive-level interactions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Experience
- Background in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience supporting capital equipment manufacturers, semiconductor sectors, artificial intelligence infrastructure, OEMs, or contract manufacturing setups.
- Track record managing global supply operations covering several international production sites.
- Demonstrated capability in leading supplier negotiations, commodity strategies, and substantial sourcing initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with large-scale technology, semiconductor, or industrial manufacturing clients.
Compensation
Annual base salary ranges from $145,000 to $197,000, with actual pay contingent upon skills, experience, and education.
