About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Supplier Management Director to spearhead supplier relationship strategies and performance programs, enhancing collaboration across our organization. This leadership position demands developing robust supplier management frameworks, fostering partnerships, optimizing operations, and aligning supplier engagement with business goals to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement supplier management strategies that align with company objectives and operational priorities.
- Oversee supplier relationship programs including evaluation, performance tracking, business reviews, and initiatives for improvement.
- Establish standardized supplier management processes and governance to boost efficiency, transparency, and teamwork.
- Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key suppliers, service providers, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with departments such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal, Product, Technology, and executive leadership to meet business goals.
- Create supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms to enhance supplier outcomes.
- Analyze supplier data, operational trends, market dynamics, and business demands to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, strategic planning, and partnership-building activities.
- Support sourcing strategies, supplier optimization, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to reduce operational issues and elevate supply chain performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supplier management professionals fostering accountability and continuous progress.
- Manage budgets, resources, and strategic projects related to supplier management.
- Drive adoption of advanced supplier management tools, analytics, and technology solutions to improve transparency and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supplier management, procurement, supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, or comparable leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading supplier relationship programs within complex environments.
- In-depth understanding of supplier performance management, procurement procedures, contract coordination, operational planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and partnering with senior leadership.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency converting data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Experienced in managing supplier performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, supplier management platforms, analytics tools, and collaboration technologies.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining strong organizational discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related disciplines.
- Certifications like CPSM, CSCP, CPIM or equivalents are highly valued.
- Background in managing supplier functions in enterprise, manufacturing, technology, retail, or global settings.
- Expertise in supplier development, operational excellence, process improvement, and supply chain analytics.
- Experience leading remote or spatially dispersed teams.
