Student Support Assistant - Multiple Locations Across UAE

Role Overview

We are urgently seeking energetic and dependable Student Support Assistants to join a government sector client across various locations in the UAE including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Al Ain, Ajman, and Khor Fakkan. The Student Support Assistant (SSA) plays a vital role in facilitating classroom activities, behavioral support, and physical assistance specifically for Students of Determination, fostering a safe and inclusive environment that supports their academic and personal growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist educators in executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Adapt instructional materials as directed to meet diverse student needs.
• Guide students through daily lessons and classroom routines.
• Promote independent learning and encourage active engagement in class.
• Escort students during class transitions, breaks, and transport.
• Provide physical support related to mobility, posture, and use of adaptive devices.
• Support personal care needs, including hygiene and nutrition when necessary.
• Maintain a hazard-free learning environment through proactive risk management.
• Apply behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Calmly manage challenging behaviors with patience and compassion.
• Encourage social interaction and friendship-building among peers.
• Offer emotional support to boost students’ confidence and well-being.
• Communicate effectively in English with teachers, parents, and support staff.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, and special needs teams to optimize student support.
• Accurately document student progress, behavioral incidents, and achievements daily.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: At least high school diploma or higher academic qualifications.
• Professional experience: Minimum one year in roles such as shadow teacher, teaching assistant, caregiver, nursery assistant, or special needs support.
• Language proficiency: Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Physical fitness: Must be physically and medically capable to assist with student mobility and safety requirements.
• Personal qualities: Must demonstrate exceptional patience, empathy, caring nature, and resilience.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Monthly salary of 2500 AED.
