Position Overview
This is a 12-month full-time maternity leave cover role with on-site presence and hybrid working options available. The role is open nationally, including campuses in Perth and Brisbane.
The Student Success Adviser plays a vital role in supporting students through their educational progress by delivering high-quality, tailored support and engagement to promote retention, progression, and academic achievement. By establishing trustful partnerships, the adviser guides students confidently through their studies, ensuring ongoing enrollment and fulfillment of their goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a student portfolio proactively, providing personalized assistance via phone, virtual meetings, email, and face-to-face sessions throughout their study journey.
- Develop trusted relationships with students, offering counsel about study planning, course advancement, and available support services.
- Encourage student retention and reenrollment through active engagement, consultative discussions, and planning for future studies.
- Monitor student participation, attendance, and academic performance to identify those needing extra support and implement timely interventions.
- Address student inquiries and complex situations using sound judgment and a solution-oriented approach to ensure excellent student experiences.
- Maintain precise student records and compliance documentation, contributing to reporting, continuous improvements, and team collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferably tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in a customer-centric environment.
- Background working in KPI-focused settings, ideally within student services, customer service, sales, or related client-facing roles.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in initiating proactive conversations with students.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
- Effective problem-solving skills with resilience, initiative, and a solution-focused mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM or student management software and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering student success.
