Barminco is looking for an experienced Store Person to support operations at Garden Well on a 2/1 FIFO roster. This role suits someone who works carefully, stays organised, and thrives in a busy mining-site environment. What the role involves

The Store Person will be responsible for helping keep site materials and equipment moving smoothly by managing receipt, storage, issue, and control of stock and supplies.

Key duties

• Handle incoming and outgoing freight, including manual handling tasks and forklift use
• Check, receive, and process deliveries
• Keep inventory records accurate and maintain stock control procedures
• Take part in stock counts and inventory checks
• Keep warehouse and storage areas tidy and in good condition
• Work in line with company safety requirements, policies, and procedures
• Assist operational teams by ensuring parts and materials are supplied on time

What you need

To be considered for this position, you must have a valid forklift licence, a current Australian HR driver’s licence, and at least 3 years of experience in stores, warehousing, or logistics. A strong safety mindset is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need a current National Police Clearance, or be willing to obtain one.

Preferred background

Experience in underground mining is highly regarded, especially if you have 3 or more years in that environment. Prior work on FIFO or remote sites, as well as exposure to mining inventory and procurement systems, would also be an advantage.
