Role overview

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Steward to support food and beverage and culinary operations at its Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi property. This is a full-time, non-management position that contributes to smooth day-to-day hotel operations through cleaning, handling ware, and keeping work areas organized and hygienic.

What the role involves

The steward will assist across different hotel departments when needed, including the kitchen, food and beverage areas, and laundry, to meet cleaning and support requirements. Typical duties include preparing clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use, operating dishwashing systems and other cleaning tools, and moving dishware or linens around the hotel as required.

The role also calls for consistently following safety rules, company procedures, and quality expectations. Professional conduct in appearance and communication is important, along with maintaining positive working relationships, cooperating with teammates and other departments, and helping the team achieve shared goals.

Key work expectations

The position requires alertness to unsafe conditions, with any accidents, injuries, or hazards reported promptly to a manager. The work may involve physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing objects up to 50 pounds without help. It also requires standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, as well as bending, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching below the knees, and stooping. Supervisors may assign additional reasonable duties from time to time.

Qualifications and preferred background

No high school diploma or GED equivalent is required for this role. There is also no prior related work experience needed, no supervisory background required, and no license or certification is necessary.
