Position Overview
We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Administration Team. This individual will be crucial in supporting the financial operations for MultiState and our association management clients, providing accounting and operational assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist association clients in financial reporting, budget oversight, invoicing, and compliance support.
- Develop and maintain dependable relationships with client liaisons to ensure smooth financial workflows.
- Support accounting functions for MultiState's Lobbying Compliance services.
- Organize and maintain financial records including invoices and receipts for auditing and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies aligning with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy in financial data relative to company goals.
- Manage vendor billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Provide financial, operational, and administrative assistance to leadership on special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in writing.
- Proven ability to prioritize and complete assignments effectively.
- High integrity and ethical standards with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail with minimal errors in work output.
- A proactive approach with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Adaptability and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using QuickBooks, DocuSign, and Trello.
