Software Developer / Engineer

About the Role

International Water Distribution Co. (Tawzea) is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Software Developer/Engineer to take charge of designing, developing, and enhancing our web applications, database systems, and business intelligence solutions. The primary focus will be on establishing reliable, high-performance web platforms and deriving actionable insights from data. While there are plans to expand toward mobile app development later on, your current responsibilities will revolve around web and data technologies. The final designation as Software Developer or Software Engineer will depend on the candidate's experience level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy high-performing web applications that meet business needs.
• Design and manage robust database architectures and schemas ensuring scalability and stability.
• Create secure and scalable APIs for system integration.
• Build practical business intelligence tools and reporting systems for data analysis.
• Maintain code quality by writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code; handle debugging and upkeep of software and security systems.
• Continuously improve systems based on user feedback by suggesting upgrades and implementing enhancements.
• Prepare and update detailed technical documentation to support software maintenance and upgrades.
• Assist in future transition towards mobile application development when project priorities evolve.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in full-stack web development and database management.
• Competence in UI/UX design with practical understanding of user-centric web and visual design principles.
• Proficiency with frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Backend programming with Python.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, essential for BI and core database architecture.
• Mobile app development experience is advantageous but not mandatory for immediate tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills focusing on mathematics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Quick adaptability to new programming languages and emerging technologies.
