Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Social Media Specialist based in the United States. The role is remote and supports the growth of a company’s digital presence across several social platforms.
You will create compelling social content, coordinate publishing, and help translate company initiatives and thought leadership into posts that are clear, engaging, and on-brand. The position blends creative judgment, strategic thinking, and AI-assisted content workflows to help scale social media output efficiently.
Working with communications teams and internal subject matter experts, you will keep the brand voice consistent while looking for ways to improve audience engagement and reach.
Key accountabilities
- Develop social media posts for review and approval across LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, and Instagram.
- Maintain the content calendar so publishing stays organized and on schedule.
- Use social media management tools such as Sprout Social to schedule and publish content.
- Turn existing assets such as blog posts, webinars, research, events, and thought leadership into platform-specific social content.
- Apply AI tools to speed up content production while protecting quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Create and improve prompt libraries and repeatable AI workflows that make content creation more efficient.
- Edit AI-generated copy so it matches messaging, tone, and audience needs.
- Track social channels, engagement, comments, and relevant conversations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to collect ideas, assets, and expert input.
- Ensure posts follow platform best practices and support broader communication goals.
- Keep up with social media trends, platform updates, and new AI capabilities for content creation.
Requirements
The employer is seeking a social media professional who has experience creating content for B2B or technical audiences and is comfortable using modern tools to improve workflows in a remote setting.
- 2 to 5 years of professional social media management experience.
- Experience handling social media accounts for B2B organizations or technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build and run social media content calendars.
- Practical experience with social media platforms and tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or comparable solutions to create, adapt, and scale content.
- Strong prompt engineering skills and the ability to build repeatable, brand-safe AI workflows.
- Ability to assess, revise, and strengthen AI-generated copy for accuracy, tone, and impact.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with close attention to brand voice.
- Ability to simplify complex or technical topics into content that is easy to understand and engaging.
- Strong organizational ability and comfort managing multiple projects independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity, technology, thought leadership, or similar audience types is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with social analytics, employee advocacy, executive social programs, or content performance tracking is a plus.
