Overview

Sify Limited is looking to hire a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team based in Mumbai or Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the resilience, scalability, and overall performance of large distributed systems, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, fault-tolerant systems that remain highly available.
• Collaborate effectively with various teams to identify system enhancement priorities.
• Create and sustain monitoring and alerting mechanisms to uphold system reliability.
• Diagnose and swiftly resolve intricate system issues ensuring minimal downtime.
• Participate in defining and refining system architecture and design strategies.
• Partner with development teams to guarantee optimal system reliability and performance.
• Document system architecture and design thoroughly for internal use.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum five years of software engineering experience emphasizing system reliability and scalability.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with container technologies, notably Docker.
• Experience utilizing monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Strong grasp of system architecture principles and design methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving capabilities, and communication skills.
