Shift Leader

About the Role

As a Shift Leader at Panda Restaurant Group based in Lewiston, ID, you will play a pivotal role in energizing the restaurant atmosphere and supporting the management team. This position involves hands-on engagement in preparing popular menu items, managing shift operations, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate a vibrant and hospitable setting for customers.
• Assist with overseeing daily store operations and leading the team throughout the shift.
• Participate actively in food preparation and cooking to deliver Panda favorites.
• Develop and enhance diverse leadership and operational skills.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of some high school education.
• Preferably, possess some experience in operations management.
• Must obtain and maintain food safety certifications as required locally, such as a Food Handler certificate (at personal cost).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot conditions with steam and food vapors, and perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds. The position demands quick, accurate food preparation using kitchen tools including Chinese cook knives. Strong verbal communication, adaptability to fast-paced and changing environments, and conflict management skills are essential.
