About the Role
As a Shift Leader at Panda Restaurant Group, you will play a crucial role in leading our team by supporting management to deliver Panda’s mission through passionate cooking, heartfelt service, and creating an inviting ambiance. This position offers hands-on experience in store operations, food preparation, and team leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a welcoming and energetic atmosphere for guests during your shift.
- Manage daily store operations and lead your team effectively while on duty.
- Prepare signature Panda dishes and participate actively in food preparation tasks.
- Develop a broad set of leadership and operational skills to support team growth and personal advancement.

Qualifications and Requirements
- At least some high school education.
- Preferred experience in operations within the food service industry.
- Food Safety compliance including local Food Handler certification (obtained at applicant's expense).
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The role requires working in hot environments often filled with steam and food vapors, standing for extended periods (up to four hours), and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Counter spaces may be limited with high shelving, and noise levels can be elevated. The job demands quick adaptation to changing priorities, effective verbal communication, and conflict management skills.
