Senior Network Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator to architect, deploy, and manage a secure network infrastructure that supports Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, detection, and response across banking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end secure network connectivity for SOC platforms, including integration with SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, and threat intelligence systems.
• Oversee enterprise network technologies such as LAN, WAN, Data Center, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.
• Configure and manage network security controls like Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DNS security, proxy servers, Network Access Control (NAC), micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Enable and optimize telemetry sources such as log forwarding, NetFlow, packet capture (PCAP) to SOC tools including Splunk, QRadar, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Ensure network architecture complies with Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) Cybersecurity Framework, National Cybersecurity Authority’s Essential Cybersecurity Controls (NCA ECC), Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and National Data Management Office (NDMO) regulations.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management following ITIL best practices, ensuring prompt resolution of network-related security incidents.
• Collaborate with SOC during cyber incident response including containment, network isolation, and forensic data gathering.
• Maintain network service availability, redundancy, and resilience aligned with Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP); perform regular failover tests.
• Work in conjunction with vendors and service providers on network solutions, troubleshooting, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Conduct root cause analyses for network and security incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Create and update detailed network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), configurations, and documentation to ensure audit readiness.
• Automate network monitoring, alerting, and configuration tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Continuously assess network performance and security posture using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalents.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Between five and eight years of network administration experience, preferably within banking or other regulated sectors.
• Practical expertise with enterprise networking equipment and security platforms including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5, and industry-standard routing and switching technologies.
• Experience integrating network infrastructure with SOC systems such as SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel) and Network Detection and Response (NDR) platforms.
• Deep knowledge of secure network design, network segmentation, VPN technologies, and firewall policy administration.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SAMA, NCA ECC, PDPL, and NDMO data governance requirements.
• Proficiency with ITIL service management processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Experience in planning, testing, and implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
• Preferred experience with cloud network connectivity (Azure and AWS), hybrid cloud architectures, and secure cloud infrastructure designs.
• Ability to coordinate with external vendors, manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and support third-party integrations.
