Senior Manager - Project & Strategy

Role Overview

The Senior Manager – Strategy & Projects will be a pivotal contributor to defining and executing the strategic roadmap within the department, aligning closely with broader organizational goals. This role demands a blend of visionary strategic planning, methodical structuring, and rigorous execution to foster enhancements in safety, efficiency, compliance, training, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to both short-term and long-term strategic plans for the department.
• Evaluate existing processes and technologies to uncover areas for performance optimization.
• Conduct industry benchmarking to identify and integrate best practices.
• Communicate and align departmental priorities, ensuring strategic coherence among leadership teams.
• Support department leaders in guiding strategic projects from planning stages through to successful completion.
• Promote collaboration across departments, including Operations, IT, and Finance.
• Engage in regular operational reviews—daily through quarterly—to monitor performance data and project progress.
• Create frameworks and scorecards for effective measurement and tracking of outcomes.
• Embed project management methodologies and standards across initiatives.
• Utilize data analysis to derive actionable insights and champion data-driven decision-making.
• Gain a robust understanding of emerging technologies like AI and explore their application in airline operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• MBA or PGDM from a leading business school (e.g., IIM, ISB, XLRI, FMS) or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or project management roles.
• Experience within aviation, transportation, or large-scale operational environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on disciplined execution.
• Proficiency in data analysis, performance monitoring, and presentation.
