Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to participate in a paid remote AI training initiative emphasizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The position involves crafting accurate engineering-ticket style prompts, configuring LocalStack sandbox environments, and developing validated golden solutions with end-to-end tests. This flexible, asynchronous, fully remote role is ideal for senior professionals in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure engineering aiming for project-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Create natural language prompts mimicking authentic engineering tickets, incorporating realistic ambiguities and professional context to challenge AI with real-world scenarios.
- Set up and configure LocalStack sandboxes to simulate AWS environments for validating infrastructure tasks.
- Develop initial infrastructure states and establish golden solutions featuring successful automated end-to-end test executions.
- Maintain stringent quality standards; simple or poorly detailed tasks will not be accepted.
- Assess AI responses by selecting the correct answer between two generated solutions to infrastructure queries.
- Compose initial simple prompts to serve as foundations for AI model learning.
Qualifications
- Proven senior-level experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Hands-on expertise in at least one IaC platform, prioritized as follows: AWS CDK, Terraform (HCL), or CloudFormation preferred; other tools like Pulumi, AzureRM, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet considered secondary.
- Proficient in infrastructure scripting and testing using one or more languages: TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Strong written communication skills in English with the ability to explain complex technical subjects clearly and adhere to strict style guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits
- Earn rates up to 50 USD per hour, with additional performance-based incentives.
- Payments processed via PayPal and AirTM.

Work Details
- Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling.
- Variable workload depending on project availability, commonly ranging from 5 to 10 hours per week, with a maximum of 40 hours weekly.
