Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Customer Insights Analyst to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that help improve decision-making and enhance customer experiences. You will work with diverse, structured and unstructured data sources to detect trends, identify opportunities, and deliver evidence-based recommendations that influence services, processes, and customer engagement.
This role encompasses the full analytical lifecycle including data discovery, preparation, insight generation, visualization, and working closely with stakeholders. Combining strong technical skills with business awareness and curiosity, you will enable ACC to make data-driven decisions that add value to both customers and the organisation.
This fixed-term contract runs through to June 2027 within the Policy, Evidence & Insights team. The primary location is Wellington, but applications from Albany, Manukau, Hamilton, or Dunedin will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize SQL and analytical skills to support the customer survey program
- Design and oversee survey sampling methodologies applied to large and complex datasets

- Proficient in SQL, DBT, and handling complex administrative datasets
- Strong understanding of statistical and survey sampling concepts with practical application

- Experienced in managing relationships and collaborating effectively
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and contribute to larger projects
- Committed to continuous learning and embracing new analytical tools and methods
- Holds a relevant qualification in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is NZD 101287 to NZD 131077, plus a 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits program including optional life and income protection insurance and a flexible superannuation plan that supports financial wellbeing now and in retirement.
