Opportunity Overview

This role is fully remote within Canada but requires occasional presence at the Mississauga campus for special events or workshops. Two Scrum Master positions are being recruited; one supports a Europe-based team and requires working during European time zones.

Role Purpose

As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a facilitator and servant leader who empowers Agile teams to deliver superior quality results. Your responsibilities encompass fostering collaboration, removing obstacles, promoting continuous process improvement, and contributing to innovation that advances healthcare technology, particularly in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring efficient and productive sessions.
• Coach the Development Team and Product Owner on Scrum principles and role clarity within Agile frameworks.
• Remove barriers inhibiting the team's progress and safeguard them from distractions.
• Ensure strict adherence to Scrum values, principles, and methods.
• Manage and resolve team conflicts while promoting constructive communication and teamwork.
• Champion a culture of ongoing improvement within teams and the broader organization.
• Act as the key liaison between Scrum teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and timely communication on project status.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development settings.
• Profound understanding of Scrum framework, principles, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven leadership with abilities to inspire teamwork, self-organization, and collaboration.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve team impediments effectively.
• Experienced in conflict management and negotiation to foster positive dialogue within teams and stakeholders.
• Adept in managing stakeholder relationships across organizational levels.
• Scrum certifications such as SAFe 5, PSMI, or Agile PM Consultant (SPC) are advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts and guiding decision-making processes.
