Role Overview

The Science Teacher is responsible for cultivating an engaging and stimulating learning atmosphere where students actively explore scientific concepts through curiosity-driven and hands-on investigations. This role involves delivering lessons aligned with the curriculum, utilizing effective instructional techniques and relevant resources that connect science to real-world applications. The teacher will regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with peers and families to create a nurturing educational environment. Ongoing professional growth is supported to maintain up-to-date, evidence-based teaching practices.

Compensation and Employment Details

The position offers a salary ranging from $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation, determined by teaching experience years. It is a full-time, onsite role commencing in January 2027, Term One. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Possession of a Bachelor or Master of Teaching/Education degree.
• Registration with the ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP).
• Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
