Job description

Overview

Our well-established international school located in East Legon Hills, Greater Accra Region, Ghana, is searching for a thorough and experienced Property Manager. This individual will be responsible for the upkeep, safety, and smooth functioning of all school facilities, ensuring a secure and inviting environment for learners, educators, and visitors alike.

Key Duties

  • Oversee daily management of school properties, including classrooms, buildings, offices, and outdoor areas.
  • Lead and supervise maintenance personnel and external contractors to guarantee timely repairs and project completion.
  • Manage health and safety protocols, emphasizing fire safety, security systems, and emergency readiness.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly school environment at all times.
  • Plan and control budgets related to property upkeep and enhancement.
  • Perform routine inspections and implement scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with school administrators to facilitate events and manage facility use.
  • Ensure adherence to local laws and school policies regarding property management.

Required Qualifications & Expertise

  • Demonstrable experience in property or facilities management, ideally within an educational environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of building systems, maintenance operations, and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills paired with effective problem-solving aptitude.
  • Competence in budget management and contractor negotiation.
