Risk Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Risk Manager to oversee the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks across diverse projects and operational areas within the organization. This role focuses on safeguarding project success, financial stability, and operational continuity by establishing structured risk management procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enforce a robust risk management framework applicable to projects and operational tasks.
• Recognize possible risks involving timelines, budgets, safety measures, quality standards, contracts, and process efficiency.
• Perform both qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, assessing probabilities and potential impacts.
• Maintain a comprehensive risk register including mitigation strategies, designated owners, and tracking progress.
• Collaborate with project leads and executives to apply effective risk control and contingency plans.
• Keep track of early warning signs and promptly escalate high-priority risks to management.
• Investigate root causes for any incidents, project setbacks, or financial variances.
• Contribute risk perspectives during tendering, planning phases, and throughout project execution.
• Generate detailed risk-related reports, visual dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership evaluation.
• Lead risk-awareness workshops, training, and educational initiatives for project teams.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, contract clauses, and industry standards related to risk.
• Support the development of business continuity plans and readiness for crisis management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline; certifications such as PMI-RMP or ISO 31000 are beneficial.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management or senior roles in risk, project control, or planning, preferably within construction or infrastructure sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of risk identification techniques, assessment methodologies, and mitigation approaches.
• Familiarity and competence with risk management software and tools.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation abilities, and expertise in managing stakeholders effectively.
• Capability to work collaboratively across multiple functional teams and manage complexity in multi-project contexts.
