Risk Analyst

Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Risk Analyst to join our organization based in Hamburg, Germany. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and monitoring various risks including business, financial, operational, and compliance aspects. The selected individual will provide data-supported advice to facilitate well-informed decision-making. Collaboration with multiple departments will be key to enhancing the company's risk management framework and ensuring sustainable success.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate risks across business, finance, operations, and compliance domains.
• Perform thorough risk assessments and scrutinize data to highlight threats and opportunities.
• Create detailed risk reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Track key risk indicators and suggest effective mitigation approaches.
• Assist in formulating and applying risk management policies and procedures.
• Work jointly with internal teams to maintain adherence to organizational policies and legal regulations.
• Contribute to internal audits, risk assessments, and business continuity strategies.
• Analyze trends in the industry, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the business.
• Ensure meticulous maintenance of risk documentation and reporting records.
• Participate in special projects and undertake additional analytical assignments when required.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior exposure to risk management, finance, compliance, auditing, or business analysis is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of data visualization and analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of enterprise risk management, financial and operational risk, or regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in English, with German language skills considered a plus but not required.
