About The Role

We invite applications from proficient Revit Fire Services Draftspersons to join our expanding engineering division, remotely supporting fire protection projects based in Australia. The role involves close cooperation with Australian engineers, project managers, and BIM coordinators to deliver precise BIM models, comprehensive shop drawings, and well-coordinated documentation for diverse sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and residential developments.

Primary Responsibilities

Construct detailed 3D BIM models and shop drawings for Wet & Dry Fire Protection Systems using Autodesk Revit.
Create coordinated drawings encompassing sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, clean agent systems, water storage tanks, pipework, supports, and related fire protection apparatus.
Develop installation, fabrication, and coordination drawings complying with Australian project norms and BIM protocols.
Develop, customize, and manage Revit Families corresponding to fire protection components and equipment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Fire Protection Engineers, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Structural, and Architectural disciplines to achieve clash-free models.
Conduct clash detection using Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or BIM 360 and resolve any coordination conflicts.
Analyze consultant drawings, architectural layouts, reflected ceiling plans, and services documentation to verify design precision.
Maintain BIM models across various project phases, ensuring all revisions are accurately updated.
Engage in virtual coordination meetings with Australian project teams.
Ensure all drawings conform to project BIM standards, client expectations, and Australian fire protection documentation guidelines.
Manage document control, drawing registers, and revision tracking throughout project lifecycle.
Execute project tasks within stipulated timelines while preserving high-quality standards and drafting accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, BIM, or related fields.
At least 3 years' experience in Revit drafting specific to Fire Protection or Building Services projects.
Experience with Australian fire protection projects is highly advantageous.
Prior remote collaboration experience with international engineering teams is a plus.

Technical Proficiencies

Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit (particularly MEP).
Strong expertise in AutoCAD.
Competence in creating and managing Revit Families.
Familiarity with Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or BIM 360 platforms.
Understanding of BIM workflows, Levels of Development (LOD), and multi-disciplinary model coordination.
Knowledge of Australian drafting methodology and fire protection documentation practices.
Awareness of Australian Standards related to fire protection systems, such as AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 2441, is beneficial.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Remote Working Requirements

Stable high-speed internet connectivity.
Having a dedicated professional home office setup.
Capability to work during overlapping hours with Australian project teams when needed.
Comfort with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and cloud-based platforms.

Preferred Experience

Exposure to Australian Fire Protection projects.
Hands-on experience with sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel systems, and fire pumps.
Expertise in BIM coordination and usage of tools like Revizto, ACC, or BIM 360.
Understanding of Australian Standards AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 2441, and related codes.
Experience working remotely with Australian engineering consultancies.
