Retail Store Manager

Job Overview

The Retail Store Manager will take charge of the daily functioning of the store, ensuring outstanding customer experience, meeting sales goals, managing staff effectively, and upholding inventory and store presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily activities and operations within the store environment.
• Lead recruitment, provide training, and motivate the store team to perform efficiently.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints promptly.
• Track sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Manage inventory control, maintain adequate stock levels, and coordinate product ordering.
• Ensure proper merchandising with visually appealing product displays.
• Maintain store hygiene, safety standards, and adherence to company policies.
• Prepare work schedules for employees and oversee attendance regularity.
• Handle cash operations, banking duties, and generate financial reports.
• Monitor and regulate store expenses to control operating costs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals of store staff regularly.
• Implement loss prevention measures to minimize theft or inventory shrinkage.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possess a bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Have 2 to 5 years of experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
• Exhibit strong leadership abilities and skills in team management.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good organizational skills and effective problem-solving capability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
