Role overview

This position is responsible for driving the Retail Digital Enablement agenda for the bank, ensuring that the function contributes effectively to the wider strategic direction and departmental plans. The role supports large-scale retail digital transformation programs and helps keep delivery, governance, and regulatory compliance aligned.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the Digital Enablement function and contribute to the rollout of major retail transformation programs, such as CRM, lending origination platforms, unified branch systems, and bank-wide loyalty initiatives.
  • Run the full digital demand intake workflow, including prioritizing the pipeline, documenting business needs, and aligning stakeholders across the assigned initiatives.
  • Support budget planning, cost monitoring, and investment optimization for digital programs, making sure spending stays within approved limits.
  • Prepare, submit, and track SAMA approval requests for digital products, features, and changes in line with applicable digital banking requirements.
  • Handle digital audit and inspection matters, including regulatory observations, corrective action tracking, and closure of identified gaps.
  • Work with IT, product, operations, and compliance teams to monitor delivery milestones, UAT progress, and production release timelines.
  • Gather performance information, project updates, and initiative status details for management review and reporting.
  • Escalate delivery risks, regulatory issues, budget deviations, and any gaps affecting digital initiatives.
  • Keep clear and accurate records of transformation work, regulatory submissions, and audit outcomes in the relevant systems.
  • Ensure all activity follows SAMA rules, bank IT governance standards, and internal policy requirements for digital banking and transformation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or another related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certification in Agile, PMP, or digital transformation management is preferred.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience is expected, with a preference for at least 3 years in a relevant position.
  • Experience in digital banking enablement, retail digital transformation, IT project delivery, or banking technology delivery within a banking or related environment is preferred.
