Residential Property Cleaner

Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to service residential rental properties. The role involves performing move-in, move-out, and rental turnover cleaning to prepare properties for new tenants, inspections, or showings. The client company manages rental properties and supports property owners, tenants, and internal teams by coordinating leasing, maintenance, inspections, and property readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cleaning appointments at residential rental properties including move-in/move-out and turnover cleanings.
• Perform thorough general cleaning in kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and other areas according to company cleaning standards.
• Clean appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers as needed.
• Remove dust, debris, garbage, and leftover items.
• Wipe down surfaces, counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floor cleanliness.
• Identify areas needing extra cleaning, repairs, maintenance, junk removal, or follow-up work.
• Take clear before-and-after photos and video documentation of cleaning work.
• Provide detailed updates including notes, photos, and videos after each site visit.
• Follow cleaning checklists, access instructions, and appointment details as provided.
• Communicate professionally with property owners, tenants when applicable, prospective tenants, and internal team members.

Requirements

• Prior experience in cleaning roles such as housekeeper, cleaning contractor, residential cleaner, or similar positions.
• Solid understanding of residential cleaning standards and procedures.
• Reliable personal transportation to reach various property locations independently.
• Own necessary cleaning supplies and equipment without dependence on company-provided materials.
• Possession of a smartphone with a good-quality camera (iPhone 13 or equivalent) to capture clear photos and videos.
• Ability to write clear notes and provide thorough work updates after each visit.
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and checklists precisely.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate respectfully with property owners, tenants, prospective tenants, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically with move-in/move-out and rental turnover cleaning.
• Familiarity with preparing residential rental properties for photos, showings, inspections, or move-in readiness.
• Ability to identify property issues such as damage, maintenance needs, junk removal requirements, pest problems, access issues, or unsafe conditions.
• Experience working independently in the field for property management, leasing, home services, or cleaning companies.
