Position Overview
Our client seeks a dependable and meticulous Residential Cleaner to perform various cleaning duties at residential properties. This role involves move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing properties for readiness prior to showings or inspections. Ideal candidates will be experienced, organized, professional, and able to operate independently on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend assigned residential locations for scheduled cleaning appointments including move-in, move-out, and turnover tasks.
- Execute comprehensive cleaning services following company standards across kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures.
- Remove dust, dirt, garbage, debris, and any leftover items as necessary.
- Thoroughly wipe down counters, surfaces, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and frequently touched areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and care for flooring surfaces.
- Clean interior parts of appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers when required.
- Identify areas requiring additional cleaning, repair, maintenance, junk removal, or further attention.
- Document work thoroughly with clear before-and-after photos and videos.
- Submit detailed notes, images, and updates following each cleaning assignment.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with tenants, property owners, and internal team members.
- Adhere strictly to cleaning checklists, company instructions, property access information, and appointment details.
General Cleaning Duties May Include
- Move-in, move-out, and rental turnover cleaning.
- Deep cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and drawers.
- Window sill, baseboard cleaning, and light garbage and debris removal.
- Property readiness cleaning in preparation for inspections, showings, or new move-ins.
Required Qualifications
- Prior work experience in cleaning roles such as residential cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of residential cleaning standards and procedures.
- Dependable transportation means to travel between properties.
- Possession of necessary cleaning tools and supplies for each appointment.
- Comfort and capability to work independently on residential sites.
- Own a smartphone with a high-quality camera (e.g., iPhone 13 or equivalent) to capture photos and videos.
- Ability to take clear pictures and videos documenting cleaning and property status.
- Competency in writing clear updates and notes after each visit.
- Organized, punctual, reliable, professional, and detail-oriented behavior.
- Ability to follow detailed checklists, cleaning instructions, and access protocols.
- Effective and respectful communication skills with tenants, owners, and internal staff.
Preferred Skills
- Experience specifically with move-in, move-out, and rental turnover cleaning services.
- Familiarity with prepping properties for inspections, showings, or move-ins.
- Ability to identify and report property damage, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest problems, access challenges, or unsafe conditions.
- Previous experience working independently in field roles for property management, cleaning, or home services companies.
