Team and Role Context
This position sits within the newly established Research & Insight team led by Jon Neale, delivering market-leading research and data internally and to clients. The scope covers various subjects such as individual property markets, demographics, global megatrends, and economic influences relevant to the sectors served. The team's goal is to produce original insights that help shape business decisions and highlight Montagu Evans' consultancy offerings.
Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis and reporting on primary market segments and broader themes.
- Assist in enhancing proprietary market datasets, focusing on industrial & logistics, residential sectors, and Central London markets.
- Manage and analyze third-party data sources while maintaining economic and market presentation materials.
- Support client pitches, presentations, and produce client-facing reports when needed.
- Engage with internal teams and stakeholders to fulfill business support requests.
- Innovate and improve data visualization techniques to clarify trends and findings.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate degree in Economics, Geography, Real Estate, Planning, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years professional experience in a comparable analytical or research role.
- Strong abilities in data analysis, report composition, and presentation, paired with commercial awareness and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Interest or knowledge in UK urban geography, urban economics, and property markets.
- Experience with data sourcing, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Beneficial Skills
- Familiarity with GIS tools, preferably QGIS, and spatial data analytics (training available).
- Basic experience or interest in statistical programming languages such as R or Python is a plus but not mandatory.
