Regional Purchasing Manager - Data Centers

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader in purchasing and supply chain management to spearhead the transformation of our regional procurement function supporting Data Center projects. This position plays a critical role in enhancing cost efficiency, supplier performance, supply chain resilience, and procurement preparedness for a growing suite of essential infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate regional sourcing and category plans specifically for Data Center equipment and systems.
• Drive decisions on make-or-buy strategies, localization efforts, and adjust supplier footprints accordingly.
• Design and implement business continuity, risk reduction, and dual-sourcing policies.
• Support tender processes and procurement activities for major Data Center projects.
• Build and maintain a high-performing supplier network emphasizing cost efficiency, quality, timeliness, and supply continuity.
• Enhance purchasing analytics, promote digital solutions, standardize processes, and increase data transparency.
• Define and track key performance indicators such as savings, delivery, risk mitigation, margin, cash flow, and service levels.
• Lead and cultivate remote and culturally diverse purchasing teams.
• Develop organizational expertise in negotiation tactics, cost engineering, and supplier advancement.
• Collaborate extensively with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Logistics functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in purchasing or supply chain within industrial settings.
• Proven background in supporting infrastructure, EPC, or Data Center initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the Data Center supplier landscape.
• Experience leading organizational transformation and managing change.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP software systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
