About the Role

Global Commissioning is seeking a Regional Commissioning Manager to oversee and deliver critical commissioning projects across multiple data centre sites within a designated region. The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical lead, providing governance and ensuring these projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and contractual expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct multiple commissioning teams in technical matters across Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
  • Establish and enforce rigorous commissioning standards and methodologies.
  • Resolve complex system integration challenges in collaboration with site teams.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on scope definition, milestone tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee project delivery plans, risk management, and performance monitoring across sites.
  • Maintain consistent and clear reporting and project execution standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and foster collaboration within multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
  • Encourage a culture prioritizing safety, continuous improvement, and technical growth.
  • Serve as the principal technical contact regionally, managing client expectations with transparent progress communication.
  • Handle escalations and support resolution of technical and operational issues promptly.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience with mission-critical data centre systems commissioning.
  • Expertise in electrical power distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and controls/integrated systems.
  • Proven track record delivering Levels 1 through 5 commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of redundancy designs including N, N+1, and 2N configurations.
  • Experience operating within live and active data centre environments.
  • Familiarity with standards such as EN 50600, TIA-942, and data centre Tier definitions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience guiding teams across multiple locations and specializations.
  • Methodical and risk-aware decision-making capabilities.
  • A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Relevant data centre commissioning certifications are highly recommended.

Additional Details

This position involves frequent travel throughout Europe; therefore, candidates from anywhere in the UK or mainland Europe are eligible to apply—preferably those near a major international airport for ease of travel.
