Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst specializing in Localization to uphold the linguistic quality, accuracy, and uniformity of English language subtitles, closed captions (CC), and audio descriptions (AD). The candidate must have superior command of English language nuances, including US and UK English accents, and be focused on delivering top-quality localized content.

Key Duties

• Conduct linguistic and quality assessments on subtitles, CC, and AD content.
• Detect and rectify grammatical, spelling, punctuation, timing, and formatting mistakes.
• Generate and modify subtitles, closed captions, and audio description material when necessary.
• Ensure all deliverables meet both client-specific and internal style guide standards.
• Offer clear, constructive critique and assist in the development and training of team members.
• Maintain stringent quality standards while adhering to project timelines.

Required Qualifications

• Preferable experience in localization, subtitling, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Excellent mastery of written and verbal English.
• Strong knowledge of US and UK English accents, dialects, and idiomatic expressions.
• Outstanding attention to detail paired with sound linguistic judgment.
• Capability to work autonomously and responsibly manage assigned tasks.
• Experience with subtitle or localization software tools is a plus.

Work Schedule and Location

• This is an on-site role located in Mylapore, Chennai.
• Work on weekends may be necessary depending on movie release schedules, with compensatory leave granted as per company policy.
