QA Production

Role overview

IPL Sittingbourne is hiring a QA Production team member for its fresh produce packing operation. This is a site-based position within the onsite production team, supporting quality control in a fast-paced environment.

Working pattern and contract

This is a permanent full-time role on a night shift rota of 4 days on, 4 days off, from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Key responsibilities

You will support quality assurance activity during production and at the end of the line, helping ensure products meet the required standards before release.

• Monitor quality, labelling, and packaging checks throughout production and at end-of-line stages.
• Identify and escalate any potential product track changes while packing is underway.
• Keep all production records accurate, including track changes, job sheets, and packaging verification documents.
• Verify and check weigh calibrations and related checks.
• Inspect finished goods and packaging carefully before release against ASDA specifications.
• Investigate quality or packaging issues and make sure corrective actions are carried out.
• Work alongside production colleagues to improve yield and minimise giveaway.
• Coordinate with site operations to maintain full compliance at all times.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone with hands-on QA experience, ideally gained in fresh produce or food production. You should be confident making decisions, comfortable working with stakeholders, and able to support and motivate a team.
