About the Role
Join our esteemed hospitality team as a Purchasing Officer, where your role extends beyond procuring goods — you play a key part in creating welcoming and exceptional experiences for every guest. Your main responsibilities include meticulous management of purchasing documents, sustaining comprehensive purchasing records, and undertaking cost and market analyses to enable informed, data-driven purchasing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement activities by sourcing materials and supplies, researching competitive pricing, and ensuring adherence to purchasing policies and protocols.
- Inspect and verify product deliveries, confirming accuracy against purchase orders, invoices, and quality specifications.
- Fulfill departmental requisitions by issuing items promptly while managing stock levels; notify management of shortages or product unavailability.
- Handle invoice processing by receiving, verifying, scanning documents, and resolving discrepancies to ensure prompt payment processing.
- Assist in the inventory management through routine stocktaking, recording received goods into tracking systems, and reporting discrepancies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality, or related disciplines preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality operations and supply chain management processes.
- Strong negotiation abilities coupled with effective communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Experience with procurement software and related systems.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards to ensure transparency and compliance in procurement practices.
