About the Role
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking a skilled Provider Research Associate to join their team. This position is responsible for the precise entry and management of provider details across multiple systems using various sources like contracts, credentialing tools, and workflow applications. Accurate data entry is vital to support proper claims processing and maintain the Provider Directory's integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update detailed and specialized provider accounts and documentation.
- Serve as a communication liaison with providers regarding inquiries, invoices, payments, and daily operational matters.
- Ensure provider information is loaded correctly and promptly into data systems.
- Enter precise information into internal databases within required timeframes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a support role or customer service, military experience, or academic coursework in related fields.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Interpersonal and Organizational: Effective at managing relationships and organizing tasks.
